What is the OEKO-TEX ® Standard 100?
OEKO-TEX ® Standard 100 is an operational quality assurance test system for all types of textiles. Developed in Germany in 1992, OEKO-TEX ® Standard 100 test materials for harmful substances that are harmful for people and the environment, from threads to yarn to fabric.
At The Blank T Shirt Shop and The Custom T Shirt Shop we feel that it’s 100% necessary for fashion retailers to be selling eco-friendly products. We don’t believe in indulging in fast fashion and want to ensure consumers are receiving high-quality clothing at all times.
Bring in your desired design for us to print on our OEKO-TEX ® Standard 100 tested, “tex certified”, as they say, t-shirts. Our t-shirts come in a wide range of colours and styles and made with super comfortable fabric – you can wear your t-shirt proudly knowing you’re making the environmentally friendly, ethical choice.
Who is WRAP? World Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) is an independent, objective, non-profit team of global social compliance experts dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing around the world through certification and education. WRAP is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, USA and has branch offices in Hong Kong and Bangladesh and additional representatives in India and SE Asia (Thailand & Vietnam). What does World Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) do? Our primary activity is our Certification Program, which is the largest independent facility certification program in the world mainly focused on the apparel, footwear, and sewn products sectors. We issue three levels of certification that are valid from six months to two years based on a facility’s compliance with WRAP’s 12 Principles. These principles are based on the rule of law within each individual country and include the spirit or language of the relevant conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO).
WRAP also administers a comprehensive training program throughout the world and is recognized as an accredited training organization by the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA). All of our monitoring partners must undergo our comprehensive Lead Auditor Training program and follow-up with regular refresher courses. We also offer an Internal Auditor Course which teaches factory managers and workers how to make their facilities compliant with our 12 Principles. Additionally, WRAP has been a pioneer in Factory Fire Safety Training, offering the course in Bangladesh, Pakistan, China, India, and Southeast Asia.
